About Us Undersee Australia makes spearguns for the beginner through to the professional Spearo We are currently working on the final touches of our New Euro Style Speargun, it has a New Handle, New Muzzle, New Barrel. It is due for release around November or December. Undersee Australia has been involved in making Sub-Aqua Spearfishing equipment for now over 60 years. We are the pioneers of sub aqua spearfishing. Undersee Products were first founded by Captain Don Linklater in 1947 at Bondi Beach, Australia's most famous beach. The name Undersee derives from the captains belief that you should be able to see and choose your catch under the surface. Undersee Products was one of the original names of the company, and one of the first inventors of the face mask. This came from the simple use of a bucket with the bottom cut out and replaced with some clear plastic or glass and the rubber from a tyre tube around the top to seal on your face. This is why our name is spelled Undersee which refers to seeing your catch in the water. Once Don concurred the idea of seeing his catch he then developed the power retained speargun. The original Undersee speargun's mechanism started simply from the old aluminium window latches from the bus, trams and trains. Undersee Australia with it's 60 years plus experience as a speargun manufacture produce some of the best hand crafted spearguns on the market and the the largest range of spearguns on the market, starting from the entry level through to the competition spearguns for the professionals. Our long lasting popular models include the Zap, Phantom, WOODIE MKII, Bazooka, and the new guns such as the TERMINATOR comp railgun, Barracuda Comp and the WOODIE Comp. The Undersee Trigger Mechanisms (the heart of the gun) is recognized as one of the best, safest, reliable and easiest to use on the market today. In 1999 Undersee was purchased by Shaun Adlam and still today remains in the Adlam family. All Undersee spearguns are made ready to go,just purchase and dive in. If you want a tried and tested speargun then buy a Undersee speargun for power durability, and reliability.
